What’s Coming Down the Pipeline

At Nonprofit Staten Island, we’ve been hearing versions of the same question from two directions. Development staff wants to know what the federal funding landscape means for their organization’s revenue. Advocacy staff are working through policy shifts that are already changing contracts and procurement.

Since State and City contracts carry federal dollars and federal terms, organizations are wondering about new requirements, changes to allowable costs, and payment reliability. We asked fundRISING to join us for an hour to talk through what they’re seeing on the ground.

This isn’t a briefing from federal insiders; it’s a conversation with people who track this space closely, week in and week out. fundRISING will open with a short rundown (15–20 minutes) covering:

• What federal changes have shown up in procurement practice
• What the June and July notices of funding opportunity covered
• What those notices signal for state and city funding over the next year
• Why this matters to organizations, even those that aren’t applying directly to federal grants

From there, it’s an open floor. Come with your own observations and questions; a lot of what’s happening right now is genuinely unsettled, and honest “here’s what we don’t know yet” is often more useful than false certainty.
