TRIE Coalition: Coming Together to Shape What’s Next

Join Nonprofit Staten Island and TRIE Coalition partners for a collaborative working lunch as we kick off the new program year and prepare for the People’s Money idea generation phase.

The People’s Money gives New Yorkers an opportunity to develop ideas for programs, services, and events that respond to needs in their communities. During the idea generation phase, community members come together to identify local priorities and shape ideas that could ultimately become projects for their borough.

This working lunch will bring TRIE Coalition partners together to brainstorm, plan, and identify opportunities for collaboration as we begin this year’s process.

We’ll focus on:

• Idea generation: Planning strategies for engaging community members and developing strong ideas, while identifying potential challenges and obstacles.
• Partnerships and engagement: Exploring opportunities to connect with new community partners and strengthen engagement throughout the People’s Money process.
• Looking ahead: Discussing potential new TRIE Coalition initiatives and community projects, including ideas around expanding greenspace on the North Shore, organizing around health access issues, and addressing other timely community needs.
