Nonprofit Staten Island is partnering with the NYC Civic Engagement Commission (CEC) and NYC Economic Development Corporation (EDC) to host a tailored Idea Generation Session focused on economic mobility in Staten Island.
This working lunch will bring together nonprofit partners, workforce providers, community leaders, and sector practitioners to identify real needs, challenges, and opportunities across the borough. Participants will collaboratively generate ideas in key priority areas, including:
- Skills training & career pathways
- Apprenticeships & earn-and-learn models
- Immigrant inclusion & credential access
- ESOL & adult education
- Digital literacy & access
- Affordable childcare
- Financial empowerment & savings supports
- Entrepreneurship & small business resources
This is a hands-on, discussion-based session, not a presentation. Your ideas will be captured and submitted directly to NYCEDC and CEC as part of the citywide People’s Money process.
