Presented by SERVPRO of Northern Staten Island

Wed, Sep 30th, 2026
9:30 – 11:00 AM
Harvest Café , 694 New Dorp Lane
Flooding and water damage can quickly disrupt programs, close community spaces, and create unexpected costs for nonprofit organizations.
SERVPRO of Northern Staten Island is joining SI COAD to help nonprofit leaders, operations staff, and facilities teams prepare for and respond to water-related emergencies. The session will cover:
  • What to do immediately after water damage occurs
  • What your organization should document and have in place ahead of time
  • How water can move through a building and impact operations
  • How an Emergency Ready Plan can help support continuity and recovery
  • Simple household flood preparedness tips for staff and the communities they serve
Staten Island Community Organizations Active in Disaster (SI COAD) is hosting this free session as part of its ongoing effort to strengthen preparedness and coordination among nonprofit organizations.
Bring the person who would receive the first call when a facilities emergency happens.
This event is free and open to all nonprofit organizations in and serving Staten Island.
