Community resilience doesn’t start in an emergency; it’s built through the relationships, communication, and coordination we practice every day.
Join the Staten Island Community Organizations Active in Disaster (SI COAD) coalition for a working session focused on how our ongoing collaboration as community- and faith-based organizations translates into stronger, more coordinated support for Staten Islanders during times of crisis.
As we move into the spring and summer seasons, we’ll:
– Share seasonal hazard updates, including extreme weather, flooding, and heat risks
– Preview communication tools and coordination strategies ahead of our upcoming spring tabletop exercise (TTX)
– Explore how everyday partnerships—resource sharing, outreach, and referrals—become critical lifelines during emergencies
This session is especially relevant for CBOs, FBOs, and community-serving organizations that are directly connected to residents and want to stay informed, connected, and prepared.
Whether you’ve been part of SI COAD or are looking for a way to plug in, we’d love to have you at the table.
