What is the #JustPay Campaign? The JustPay Campaign, which is coordinated by HSC, is fighting to end government-sanctioned poverty wages for New York’s nonprofit human services workers. Since 2021, Nonprofit Staten Island and over 7,000 advocates have joined them in advocating for funding and policies to raise the wages of City and State-contracted human services workers.
What have they won so far? HSC’s JustPay Campaign has secured over $2 billion in wage increases for human services workers, including the City’s recent $741 million investment in City-contracted human services workers, the first State human services cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) in 10 years, and the introduction of legislation to help raise the wages of human services workers.
We hope you’ll sign up here to join HSC’s visit on October 2 to get the latest updates on the campaign, and learn how you can inspire your workers to join the fight.
Hope to see you there!
