Telling Your Story: PR Strategies for Nonprofits

Many nonprofits face the challenge of how to clearly and effectively communicate their mission, programs, and impact—especially when it comes to engaging funders, donors, and the broader community. This Development Affinity Group session will focus on practical public relations strategies that strengthen storytelling and support more effective outreach and engagement.

We’ll explore how organizations are shaping their messages, connecting with audiences across platforms, and thinking about the relationship between public relations, media engagement, and broader organizational development efforts. Participants will hear from our guest speaker, share approaches, ask questions, and learn from peers navigating similar challenges.

We’re pleased to welcome Alexander P. Lutz Jr., who will help ground the conversation in real-world practice and offer perspective on elevating nonprofit visibility and storytelling.
